Not much

Not much presentable stuff these days...

There was this guy with the weird head shape, and I tried to put him on the paper. The head on the bottom right is my most successful attempt! And forget about the dogs, they suck:P

New residents

Seems like we have new residents here in our neighbourhood!
The white one with colors seems like he/she (I think it's she) wants out! It was the first, and only one, to get out of the box and explored the monstrous and weird creature standing with a camera in front of it.

Good day to you little guys and gals!

A fine day

Yesterday night, I started reading the great free pdf book Gesture Drawing for Animation by Walt Stanchfield, a great Disney animator. In a few words, Stanchfield explains the process of forgetting about drawing details, and focusing on gesture and feeling of the drawing. So, today I tried to follow his advice.

Reaching the last page, the line flow was great and I was very happy with
it, but had to stop :( I'm pretty happy with the cats' gestures on the last page!
Generally, I didn't pay so much attention to anatomical details, but getting a "feeling" of the "objects".

No, I don't only draw cats, dogs, chicken, goose, bears etc...

This was from two days ago. I'm pretty happy with it, so I'm posting it:

A note: from now on, I'll be posting only the parts I like most. I think this is the best for all of us:P

Crappy crap - Wednesday

Starting from yesterday's sketches (from bottom to top), here we go:

I made an observation about the cat's front legs, although a very quick one.

Also, I have an idea about a funny illustration about a situation, hope I'll work on it these days

Long Saturday...

I've got this strange feeling, that instead of doing the things that are urgent at this time, I'm spending time doing other things...

I was reading about power centers, and came up with a goofy character, not a glow of originality... I then continued reading about the same topic and old people.

Btw, I have no idea who Hellboy is and what he does!

Saturday's observations

Today, I couldn't make a f***** decent sketch (I wonder if it's only today...), until a moment when my hand got released. BUT, I made a few cat observations, and I prefer to show only those.

No 1: Cats are animals, so...

No 2: They have oval shaped pupils (wow!)

No 3: Their head consists approximately of two basic shapes: a sphere and a box

No 4: (more like a practical guideline) The head blends seamlessly along a curve with the spine.

Next observations: feet shapes

Thursday: cat and chicken session

Yesterday, a friend of mine commented that my line shouldn't be so jumpy, so today I gave it a try to make it more fluid.

Tuesday and Wednesday sketches

Compilation of the past weeks' sketches

Tools of the trade

A big sketchbook for homework, a smaller for fastfood, some cheap pencils, pens, and a pencil-case, designed by Artemis :))
Until a few days I was using 1, but it has a hard tip, spills too much ink and is difficult to control, so I bought 2, which has a very soft tip and is ideal for sketches, but not so quick ones! I think 3, with a medium tip and reasonable ink flow, suits best for me. We'll see...

Hello world!

Hello there, hello world!!!

This is my blog and I will be posting my stuff here. I'm trying to hone my skills at drawing, sooo...
For now, stuff will be mostly sketches because of serious lack of available time, so bear with me, please!

My goal is to enter The Animation Workshop and do a Bachelor in Character Animation! Woohooooo!!!
